A very special instrument, rich, full spectrum, sublime sounding Steinway M 5’7″ made in 1916 when the Steinway family was still involved in the day to day running of the Steinway Factory here in NYC. E-legant looking, just refinished ebony black with a “French Polish” (multiple coats of hand applied padding lacquer) gives piano an even sheen and natural wood look. Piano was partially rebuilt a few years back with new strings, new pins, dampers, repainted plated and revarnished soundboard. Also newer Steinway hammers and shanks were recently put on. All original excellent condition Steinway soundboard, bridges, pinblock, cast iron plate was made in the Steinway Foundry as were all Steinway plates prior to WW-2 and the original aged & seasoned Steinway wooden case is in excellent condition as well. Action just regulated and hammers voiced by our technicians so it looks great and plays great and is ready to last indefinitely with just some regular tunings and maintenance. Comes with warranty.
